Western Blot Kits

Western blot (WB) assays have been traditionally used to demonstrate that HCP antibodies react with the majority of HCPs present in a given cell line or purification process. Due to the sensitivity limitations of WB, coverage can only be estimated on upstream, harvest samples where HCPs are still within the sensitivity limitations of various staining methods. WB provides limited predictive value in determining how the ELISA using that antibody, will quantitatively react to the more limited array of HCPs in downstream samples.

Please refer to our Custom Development Services pages to learn about Antibody Affinity Extraction (AAE) - a superior method for antibody coverage analysis and identification of individual HCPs that might co-purify with the drug substance.
